Pete Kartsounes Music
A prolific songwriter, insatiable studio junkie, world traveler, and humanitarian, Pete Kartsounes is one of the busiest independent musicians/artists in the music world today, both under his given name and as his electronic groove-looping alter ego, DJPK. To date, Pete Kartsounes has released sixteen full length albums and numerous singles. The latest is the highly acclaimed "The Great Revealer" (Released June 7th, 2025).
True to Pete K style, each album represents a soulful and eclectic mix of influences from the Indie-Americana folk, soul-grass, jazz and blues and world music genres. Praise The Day was released on April 8th, 2026 and was written along the beautiful McKenzie River on a 27 mile backpack trip on one glorious morning in forest solitude. The dipper birds were dancing and singing, trilliums were blooming, the river was singing, and the campsite lent the perfect tapestry to collect another song to share. Enjoy and share this one with your community. Its medicine for the soul!

The Way It Goes Sometimes was released on September 22nd, 2025 (Fall Equinox) and is a testimony to acceptance through difficult times. This song was not expected, but was given to Pete one rainy summer day, and will hopefully connect with others on their own individual healing paths. The story of broken love left with many unanswered questions. The only way to come to terms with these tragedies in our lives is to accept what is done and move through it all in a healthy way. Unfortunately, that's the way it goes sometimes.

The Great Revealer was released on June 7th, 2025 and is a 5 song EP written in Greece by award-winning troubadour Pete Kartsounes. These songs of Pete's are a true testimony to a soul in search of mending a big and broken heart while keeping an optimistic approach through the pain endured. You can feel the heart in these tracks, as well as hearing elements of Greece within' each song.
